Painting on the other side of the pond has taken me to the Rockies, the Tetons, the Upper Hudson Valley, the British Virgin Islands, and Rockport on the coast of Massachusetts. In the Rockies, of course, lake reflections dominate. Wherever I paint, I cannot escape a good view, where the elements compose themselves naturally - as in the oil sketches from Rockport, or the beach scenes at Peter Island: I just paint what I see, and enjoy!
